BOUCHEMAINE
A pretty conservatory overlooking the river provides the backdrop for this restaurant that brings panache to its traditional menu: foie gras cooked in local wine, fish from the Loire sautéed in white wine, sweetbreads of veal and crunchy local vegetables.
VERRIERES EN ANJOU
Located in St Sylvain d'Anjou, near Angers,  the Auberge de la Lieue offers a stimulation of the taste buds with a traditional menu centred on the use of seasonal products.
ST JEAN DE LINIERES
A former coaching inn dating back to 1629, this traditional restaurant offers a menu that follows the flow of the seasons, using locally grown produce and ingredients.   (Closed: 3pm-7pm each day and Sunday evenings. Last serving before 9.30pm on Fridays & Saturdays).
