Yet another way to explore the city
On foot, by bike or on the tram – all these are great ways to discover and immerse yourself in the life of the city. There’s one other that you may not be aware of and that’s in the company of a local resident willing to share their love of Angers and the surrounding area.
So, for your next visit to Angers, pre-book a rendezvous with one of our volunteer greeters and see life as it is lived in this beautiful city.
L'association Angers Loire Greeters (association of Angers greeters)
If you’d like to get an ‘up close’ view of the city, what better way than with a local inhabitant. They’ll help you peel back the layers of heritage and culture of the city, tell you the good places have a drink or a meal and offer discovery tips that only a local would know!
Founded in 2011, the association brings together local and enthusiastic volunteers who know and love this city and are willing to give their time to aid your discovery. They do not pretend to be professional tour guides but only inhabitants who want to share their vision of Angers.
Make an appointment and let us greet you on next trip to Angers!
