The Loire by bike

For lovers of cycle rides surrounded by the wonders of nature, “The Loire by Bike” in Anjou offers some 140 km of signposted, safe routes.

A real international tourist route dedicated to cycling tourism, this  route of more than 800 kms links Nevers to the Atlantic Ocean. The “Loire by Bike” crosses 2 regions and 6 départements, and is part of a European itinerary, EuroVélo, that links the Atlantic to the Black Sea.

A new 50 Km  trip around Angers!
Leaving from the railway station in Angers, the area offers a range of cycling tracks totalling approximately 50 Km, taking you through 5 outstanding locations : Angers' historic town centre, the Natura 2000 Maine towpath, the Savennières vineyards, the superb old slate mine in Trélazé and the banks of the river Loire. Along the way, there are many services such as "Accueil Vélo", accommodation for cyclists, cycle hire, "la Loire à Vélo" lay-bys, etc.
