The Loire by bike
For lovers of cycle rides surrounded by the wonders of nature, “The Loire by Bike” in Anjou offers some 140 km of signposted, safe routes.
The Basses Vallées Angevines
The Basses Vallées Angevines area is known as one of Europe’s richest and most beautiful natural wetlands. The name “Basses Vallées Angevines” is applied to vast floodplains located to the north and immediate south of Angers, crossed by three rivers – the Mayenne, the Sarthe, and the Loir, which come together to form the Maine before pouring into the Loire.
The Parks and Gardens
Enjoying an outstanding setting, Angers has been able to control its urban development and respect the quality of its environment. Crossed by the Maine and located at the heart of France’s first horticultural region, Angers benefits from major advantages in the areas of gardening and the urban landscape.
Rambling of all kinds
Angers and its suburbs have trails that can be explored on foot or by bicycle: On the banks of the Loire or the Maine, in the heart of a vineyard or on the great wetlands, fabulous natural treasures are in store for you
Waterways Tourism
At the heart of a basin of more than 250 km of navigable waterways, discover the delights of river tourism in Anjou. In the wake of the sailors of yore, navigate to outstanding natural spaces.
